Duties & Import Charges – What You Need to Know

We want your shopping experience with us to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so here’s a quick and friendly guide to how duties and import fees work.

What are duties and import charges?

When your order is shipped from overseas, your country’s customs office may charge import duties, taxes, or handling fees. These are standard government charges and are not set or collected by us.

These fees can include:

  • Import duties

  • VAT, GST, or sales tax

  • Customs processing or handling fees

The exact amount depends on your country, the value of your order, and local regulations.

When and how are these charges paid?

If any import charges apply to your order, they are paid when your parcel arrives in your country.

Your local postal service or courier will contact you and let you know:

  • The amount due

  • How to pay (online, at delivery, or at a local office)

Once payment is made, your parcel will be released and delivered to you.

Why aren’t these fees included at checkout?

Import fees are set by your government, not by us, and they vary from country to country. Because of this, they can’t be calculated accurately at checkout.

We never add extra charges after you place your order — any customs or import fees go directly to your local authorities.

What happens if the fees aren’t paid?

If duties or taxes aren’t paid, your parcel may be delayed, returned to us, or even destroyed by customs. Unfortunately, in these cases, we’re unable to offer refunds for the shipping or product.
